Queen in the Dark Night - A Rusty Shrine: Main

Welcome. This shrine is dedicated to the 2d action game "Rusty" (ラスティ). I plan to make this site the ultimate source of info for this great game!

OVERVIEW
The game was created by C-Lab and released for the PC98 in March of 1993. According to their site, a DOS version was also released the following October, but I've not played nor found any info on this. The game is about a whip-weilding young woman who journeys to a castle to destroy a vampire and his minions, as well as rescue the villagers they have abducted. Sounds a bit familiar, eh? Yes, this game was clearly created to appeal to the fanbase of Konami's popular series "Castlevania." Myself being a huge Castlevania fan, I really enjoyed this game.

There are 10 stages total, each with a boss waiting at the end. You can continue as many times as you want, but sadly, there is no save or password system. The controls are that of your typical sidescroller: walk/run, jump, climb, duck and attack. By simultaneously pressing the attack and jump buttons, you can also use whatever subweapon you're currently holding. The controls take some getting used to and can be frustrating at times (climbing especially).

I'm also looking for someone who would be able to translate the narration and dialogue within the game to english (I can provide screencaps for this).
